A case of status epilepticus in the dental surgery: learning through significant event audit

Abstract
This report is of a 40-year-old patient with tuberous sclerosis who experienced an episode of status epilepticus
associated with an urgent dental extraction. It highlights the lessons learned from this scenario and provides
recommendations for the practice of those dentists who are more likely to have to manage such an event.
