Special Care Dentistry for patients with rare carbohydrate and protein metabolism disorders: a case series
Aims and objectives: To highlight the challenges associated with providing dental care for patients with rare
disorders of metabolism and to suggest ways in which to overcome them. Methodology: This case series summarises four patient encounters and describes the dental treatment provided and the impact of the neurometabolic disorder on the delivery of dental care.
